Designer Bags are Joining the Green Revolution

By: Kelly Renaul, Posted on: 2008-10-15

Designer bags are now going green to join in the efforts to help the environment. Many of the worlds top designers are taking on the challenge of designing bags that are eco friendly, and the reaction of loyal fans of designer bags is nothing but positive.

Danna Davis designer bags were inspired by her own Filipino heritage. Danna resides in New Jersey. Her designer bags are adorned with things like coconut shells, sea grass, and jute. It is important to Danna Davis that women be able to carry her designer bags and be proud. This bag designer believes that every woman should be able to be ecologically responsible but be stylish and fashionable at the same time. What a designer bag is made of, where it was made, and how it was made is all part of what makes the purse so valuable. It all comes down to the impact that the specific designer bags have on the ecology of the earth. Usually, these ecologically sound designer bags cost about the same as regular handbags, ranging in price from $20 to $300.

Manhattan designer Beth Warner is the founder of Raw Bags. Her company makes chic, fashionable designer bags out of recycled and raw materials. Were not talking recycled plastics, we mean old newspapers and bamboo. The designer handbags were created to be ecologically friendly, fashionable, and affordable.
Designer bags are not the only bags that are becoming eco friendly. Everything from luggage to tote bags to back packs to grocery bags are being made with more eco friendly materials. With all of the bags that are environmentally friendly, many people believe that buying and carrying the bags make a statement that they are trying to do their part to help the environment.

As far as other kinds of environmental bags go, in addition to designer bags, everyone has noticed at grocery stores everywhere, for about a dollar, there are environmentally friendly, reusable, recyclable shopping bags available for use. No more paper, and no more plastic; these bags are making such waves at grocery stores that customers almost feel a pressure to buy those and use those instead of the environmentally damaging paper and plastic.
